About this speaker

Lonnie Teasley is in his third season as the Gamecocks’ offensive line coach. He assumed that role on a full-time basis on Jan. 6, 2023, replacing Greg Adkins as one of the Gamecocks’ 10 on-field coaches.

The Gamecocks remained healthy up front during the 2024 season, leading to a more consistent performance with Teasley sending out the same starting five offensive linemen in 12 of 13 games. Carolina boasted a balanced attack, passing for 223.4 yards per game while rushing for 184.4 yards per contest. The Gamecocks averaged over 30 points per game, just the second time that had been accomplished since the 2018 season, and over 400 yards of offense per contest for just the second time since 2014. Right guard Torricelli Simpkins III was a third-team All-SEC selection according to the league’s 16 coaches while left tackle Josiah Thompson was a True Freshman All-American and first-team Freshman All-SEC.
