Jack McDaniels

Pass Game Coordinator / Quarterbacks Coach / Recruiting Coordinator, Georgetown University McDaniels is entering his fourth year on the Georgetown staff in 2025. McDaniels was elevated from Tight End's Coach in 2022 to Quarterback's in 2023, before adding Pass Game Coord. and Recruiting Coord. responsibilites in 2024. McDaniels and Georgetown excel in a West Coast style passing attack.

McDaniels is entering his third year as the Hoyas Quarterbacks Coach and his second season as the pass game coordinator/recruiting coordinator.

In his first season with the QBs, McDaniels mentored first-year starting quarterback Tyler Knoop to over 2,500 yards and 21 touchdowns. McDaniels also coached sophomore quarterback Danny Lauter to 428 passing yards (program record) in his first career start.

McDaniels served as the Hoyas' tight ends coach in 2022. That season, GU's tight ends saw a 50% increase in receptions under McDaniels. McDaniels also ran the kickoff return unit, which was ranked first in the Patriot League and fifth in the FCS with 980 yards. Against Penn, the kickoff return until took two kickoffs back for touchdowns. 

The Lorton, Virginia native comes to the Hilltop after a successful playing career at Delaware State and West Alabama, serving as a five-year starting quarterback. 

In 47 career starts, the All-Gulf South Conference Team selection accumulated more than 9,000 career passing yards with 95 career total touchdowns. 

McDaniels led the West Alabama Tigers to top 10 rankings in DII, averaging 287 passing yards and 170 rushing yards per game while posting 32 points per contest. 

McDaniels graduated from West Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in business in 2020 before earning a master’s degree in business administration.
