The 2025 season will be Jakubcin's 19th as a member of the Heidelberg coaching staff.
Mentored an All-OAC performer in each of his fourteen seasons as a full time assistant coach.
After the 2015 season, Jakubcin was promoted to Defensive Coordinator by Head Coach Scott Donaldson.
In 2022, he was named the OAC Assistant Coach of the Year after leading the tenacious 'Berg defense.
Mentored a defense which allowed 16.2 points per game -- their best mark since 1994.
During his 9 years as the Defensive Coordinator - he has coached 56 Academic All-OAC selections, 50 All-OAC selections, 5 OAC Players of the Year, 15 All-Region selections, and 14 All-Americans.
Prior to being named the DC, he spent 2 seasons as the Special Teams Coordinator. He was also hired as the Defensive Backs Coach in 2011.
Prior to 2011, he was a graduate assistant (Outside Linebackers) for 2 seasons and a student coach (Inside Linebackers) for 2 season.
He is a 2009 graduate of Heidelberg.
